Hello, I just want to say thank you in advance for all any advice anyone might give me.

I just recently graduated and obtain my CDL A. I currently have no endorsement ( I’m currently planning on getting tanker this week), but for now I’ve been researching and reading on how to get my foot inside the industry as a first time driver. I at first thought maybe use mega carrier and work for a few months just for the experience. but then I read about all the other drivers review on the company’s and how it can ruin your experience/ career. I then try to look up what company would accept new driver but some reason these online job boards like indeed/ cdljobnow job ad claim new driver welcome but when i click and look at the job description they say 3-6 months of experience so that’s disappointing. So far I’ve had no success in finding a decent company. If anyone could suggest company’s in NYC area or neighboring states I would gladly appreciate it, and thank you

    Location? Nyc
Endorsements ? None( soon will be getting tanker)
    MVR ? Clean
Wanna be local and home every night ?or gone for weeks at a time ? Regional or local be great but I’m pretty sure I gotta get mileage under my belt so otr is fine as well l.

    Automatic transmission restriction? Yes

No, working for a mega won't hurt your career at all.
How many hours was your cdl school?

    Stringb8n Thanks this.

    Western works for some drivers.
24 hour school will be a problem for some companies.
I'll list some to try though.

People will write bad reviews when mad.
    Content people dont write many.
Often there is another side to the story or perhaps an white lie
