I was referring directly to bridge tolls and should have been more specific. As Ridgeline has said these toll charges are not uniform and can differ at various points of entry. I believe Sarnia is $3.25 per axle but it has been a few months since I've had to cross there.

Out of curiosity, what is the US Customs fee for commercial vehicles that has been referred to? Is this strictly for US carriers? I don't recall ever having to pay a charge like that before.

The US Customs fee is paid on the US side. If you don't have the transponder/yellow sticker, you pay the $10.75. I think sometimes the customs agent assumes that you have the transponder and doesn't charge you the $10.75. It happens to me every once in a while. I thought that everyone was charged the US Customs fee, but maybe not. I used to see a lot of Canadian trucks with the yellow sticker in the drivers side window.

Also, it looks like the Ambassador has raised their bridge toll...

FYI...Crossing into the US using the Ambassador Bridge...the bridge toll is weigh in motion now. The bridge toll is deducted from my settlement. Be sure to go 5 mph or you may get charged a higher weight class. It happened to me.

You still stop and pay the Ambassador Bridge toll crossing into Windsor.

    Blue Water Bridge toll...

Not sure if anyone else posted they enforce the DISTRACTED DRIVER rules , use of CELL PHONE & TEXTING , as well as they do not allow RADAR detectors ( just POINTING out its ILLEGAL there as well ) , and when you see your first CANADIAN 100 SPEED LIMIT remeber thats 60 mph in American.

Commercial vehicles are not supposed to have a radar detector in them anyway.

As far as Canada, ever look and see how many cars have them?

Commercial vehicles are not supposed to have a radar detector in them anyway:biggrin_25514: I know that for gods sake , was just pointing it as he is going to a DIFFERENT COUNTRY for the first time in a commercial vehicle. In Ontario Canada its ILLEGAL to have a RADAR DETECTOR in any vehicle , not just commercial vehicles.
