    Back when my son in law took his test, he was told the same thing. The instructor ask him who taught him to shift and he told him I did, but we hadn't used the clutch. he told him to drive like I taught him and everything was fine.

    I’ve actually been listening to the truck and it does make it a lot easier. She definitely lets me know when it’s time to flip gears.

    I’m already getting a lot better on the upshift. Flipping through the gears pretty well. Not grinding as many. Downshifting leaves a lot to be desired but it’s only my 5th road ride.

    One thing is with neutral stops. Another auto fail on the DMV road test. I was actually surprised though that when coming to a stop, if I got flustered and couldn’t drop it into the next gear down, I would just hammer it into whatever gear I could get it into, preventing a neutral stop. It’s like I didn’t even realize it until we got back to the yard and the instructor said good job putting it into whatever gear I could find to prevent a neutral stop. Obviously he knew I was flustered when I couldn’t hit the right gear lol

    And shockingly enough, I’m not even forgetting the splitter.

    I definitely enjoy driving the manual and hopefully I continue to get better on my downshift

    iF there is anything for ME to worry about on shifting it wail be high to low or low to high on spliter.
