I'll be taking my first load into Canada this week. It's a non-haz liquid load going not too far above the border into Quebec. I have my passport ready, but any tips or advice that comes to mind would be helpful. Thank you.

It's been years since I had to go to Canada, but making sure the broker/carrier has put the load into the pre-clearance system ahead of time will save you lots of time at the border.
Also, keep some American cash on you. They charged me to re-enter the US after making a delivery in Ontario.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Our HoS are different up here too. I know you can't run recaps indefinitely, need to show 24 consecutive hours off duty every so many days. I never worked enough days consecutively to worry about knowing how many days it was though.
Our resets are 36 hours, not 34. I believe you need to keep your previous 14 days of logs with you as well.kylefitzy Thanks this. -

I had to go to Quebec once. It was an adventure I will never forget! I was basically a nervous wreck the whole time but in retrospect it wasn't really much different than anywhere else LOL. Of course everything is in French but most of the people I ran into spoke good English. Make sure your fuel tanks are full when you cross over.
