He'll be coming in on 80. Patterson and Tracy are out of the way and parling in and around San Leandro is going to questionable.

Best bet is going to be the 49er in West Sacramento. But get there before 5pm. Parking after that is going to be sketchy.

The 49er is going to be $20, free if you get $75 of fuel. It's an automated parking system. Get your ticket at the gate and pay by cc when you leave. Go through the fuel island to get to the entrance for parking.

Give yourself at least 2.5 hours to make the drive to San Leandro. 3 is better and give yourself 20 to 40 minutes to get out of the parking lot at the 49er.

Tracy is more of a straight shot less traffic than dealing with that cluster on the 80 coming from the north side. Way more options for trucks stops as well especially if he’s hitting traffic and it’s not even that far off the 80. It’s like a twenty four mile difference.

Exactly why I run the Great Lakes Region. No west or east or south. The worst thing in my area is Chicago, which is nowhere near as bad as L.A. or the Bay Area or Seattle or New York or anywhere in PA or... ...

Real simple, stay in the right lane except for passing, pay attention to the speed limit especially in the northern half of the state, keep it below 60, 62 max. pay attention as you would in any state, no big deal at all. take a good look at where you are going such as google maps, do not use google maps for direction anywhere, just to scope out the actual layout of the shipper or receiver. Good Luck and relax.

It is actually the two right lane except where posted otherwise, staying in the right lane is just the safer answer in northern cal.

Believe or not, at least here in SoCal….. the (slow)right lane runs quicker than the passing lane during traffic hours, even with the traffic merging in. Because all the Millennials are in the passing lane slowing everyone done.

It's like that in many areas. The right lane has cars exiting, so you gain ground, then lose a little as people merge in.
But they always try to get in the left lanes, so opening up space in the right lane.

The mindset is that the left lanes are faster, when in heavy traffic they are not.
Don't tell anyone... it will be our little secret.
