S let see it is illegal to stop on a interstate except for emergencies, and the cop was a jerk for writing you a ticket for stopping where it is illegal to stop. because your wife needed something,,, ,hmmm. Maybe you should learn what no stopping means

California is no different than any other state. Yes the speed limit slow, but other than that it’s pretty simple. I despise how many super coops they have, but other than that, it’s easy. Honestly during DOT blitz weeks they are no different than any other time of year. I’d much rather truck in Cali than say AZ or somewhere like that.

He's got to deal with traffic from Sacramento to Tracy. By the time he would turn south on I 5 he's through most the traffic if he goes to the 49er. But as soon as he turns on I 5 he's right back in the doodoo for the next 80 miles.

As far as parking options, yeah there's options. But they're mostly before Tracy and he won't be much better off time wise there than he would've from the 49er. Most those options are smaller truck stops and fill up fairly early.

Were dealing with someone who's never been to California before. We don't want him to wind up at the Vanco truck stop.

I 77 runs diagonally. So yes, north of I77, if it makes you content, east of I77 also. Cleveland is far to the west of Fancy Gap. Fancy Gap is far south of Cleveland. Now that you mention it though, I don't care to enter Canada during it's current regime either.

I’m always content…it’s just the way you used 77 and Atlantic coast was confusing

I have driven all over California pulling both a refer and hazmat tanker.
    Never had an issue.

Chuckle. I admit it was a little confusing. Probably not as confusing as us discussing this on a thread about the other side of the country. :D

Used to be able to park at Costco in San Leandro , Davis st. However, haven't been there in awhile. FYI also no trucks on I-580 in Oakland, have fun

Just FYI, you can take your 10 off behind most stores in shopping centers. I do frequently.
