Clean up the truck. Fuel her full. Small things.

Looks like you are a couple thousand ahead so far this month.

Trucking is feast and famine. If a company cannot be bothered to run hard and rake in the money before the coming of winter.... then they are playing at trucking. Not serious about the industry.

I am a new driver here, reading his story makes me realized am i right in my path?,
I am currently working as shipper/receiver lead earning 21.60 an hour. I am also an occasional driver for the company driving the straight truck. I wanted to change career as a truck driver as the company i am currently working is in the verge of filing a bankcruptcy.

They say truck jobs earn more money so i went ahead for it. Took the training and pass in one take but now i am having trouble finding a job as they are offerring way low or either looking for more experience.

Are there any company that accepts new driver with decent pay but doesnt screw u like pikaruax company does?,
Hoping some great connections here and some insights.

There are many companies taking on new drivers with no experience like Gfs, Sysco, Challenger, GFL. My company is actually paying less for new drivers so instead of making $2500 net pay every 2 weeks, you're going to be making around $2k.

@Chinatown might be able to break that famous got CDL but unable to get hired logjam for you. Just need to let him know where you are at. He will provide you some very good thought provoking options.

Its not the company. But rather the Insurance that denies the company asking permission to hire you when you have nothing but a shiny new CDL A and a smile.

Personally I think that is unnecessary and needs to be abolished in some way. We all have to start somewhere.

GFS/Sysco shouldn't even be listed as driving jobs lol, "Material handling" would be more accurate.

Challenger is out of work, and slow as ####.

Like I said before, you made a good choice going with Highlight and making it work. I'm curious what happened at ERB/Kirska/TransX when you talked to them before going to highlight.

    Zeviander and TorontoTacos Thank this.
