First week first wreck

My bad.
I didn’t realize 1 mph over was considered a few over.

 

When I was getting my class a I was driving a tow truck ( under 26000). I was parked, legally, along the side of a street, and I was inside the building, no where near the truck. A woman rear ended the truck. I explained to the cops that I was getting my CDL and it would really be helpful if this didn't show up on my record in any way. He assured me it wouldn't since I wasn't in the vehicle.

Fast forward three years I'm looking to switch trucking jobs. A potential employer runs my psp and asks me about that accident. I pull my psp and there it is. I try to contest it, they tell me the cop implicated me in the accident report. I go to get a copy of the accident report, they won't give it to me, because I'm not listed on the accident report.

I finally got the report, it didn't list me, and I got it removed. I have no idea how they get the information for the psp, but they get it.
