That's right you're a tanker driver. So what advice can you give me to better my driving performance? It sure is a lot different then van.Although my trainer was very impressed with the clover leaf exit I took and speed limit was 25.I took it between 15 and 20.

Yep,very first one ever. now Think i'll be staying with this companyI've been more or less on a 6 month unpaid vacation due to what companies pay.Had a local job with Heyl but that didn't even last 2 weeks.I was ready to quit before the first week was up actually my second day I was more then ready to walk.So im not including that in my list of jobs except on applications.

That's about right on an exit ramp. My company wants half the posted speed but that's overkill. Just take your time and don't jerk the truck around. How hard does asphalt hit you? I imagine pulling the same product all the time you will get the timing of the surge down pretty quickly. Try to accelerate while its at the back of the tank.

Congratulations pattyj i am pulling for you.
Just brings to mind a saying someone said to me years ago while doing some roofing and getting some on me, i am reminded of it every time i open a can.
"Nothing good comes from opening a can of tar" -- I hope this doesn't apply to you in your situation, but i think you will remember this if and when you do get some tar on you.:nike:

Im starting to remember and focus im hauling hot product.I have'nt noticed is sloshing around.I thought ive been making my turns and stops nice and easy. But sitting in the passenger seat, you notice a lot more.He drove on the way back with the last round because he just wanted to hurry up and get back so he can get that v3rd round.I felt alloy more then when I was driving.I didn't complain he took over.I sware right now every muscle is in pain.I imagine most of that is from being unemployed and lazy for so many months, lol.

I just need to get myself a routine going. The first round opening up the lid was easy but the seond round the lid was stuck once I finally got it opened a huge fume of the asphalt got in my lungs face.Kind of scarely, its very strong.Once you sit for too long that lid will stick.Sometimes you learn things the hard way.[QUOTE="Hang - Man";4163244]Congratulations pattyj i am pulling for you.
