H.O. Wolding, 150129 hub miles my first year, .29 to start, .30 after 6 months, .31 after 9 months, .33 after a year. I get .045 per mile for all miles in a quarter once I hit 33,501 miles. I also get $200 a month in tuition reimbursement up to $10k. Plus I get paid for basically everything I do. Oh and I got an extra .01 safety bonus for every mile for not destroying anything. Also helps that I have an awesome dispatcher and live in a real God e freight lane.

Roehl transport
Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Dispatched out of Florida.
Starting pay with no experience in van division was 30cpm with raise of 2cpm every 3 months
Van I was averaging 2500 miles per week, staying out 30 days and only taking 3-4 days off. Did van till June then switched to flatbed division.
Flatbed division, got a raise from 34cpm to 36cpm. Also got paid for tarping and un-tarping.
Ran an average of 2800 miles with flats, plus all the tarp pay. Then in October I got a raise when they brought the new pay plan out. It raised the base pay for all drivers. So now new drivers start out at 32cpm in van instead of 30cpm.
Anyway, the new pay plan is performance based. I was never late, and had no accidents, so I went from 36cpm to 39cpm which is what I'm at.
As far as home time, I would get more wore out with flatbed since it was more work, so I only stayed out 3 weeks and would take 7-8 days off. If I would have kept staying out 30 days at a time and only going home a few days I may have been able to clear 40k my first year.
This is a screenshot from my paycheck stub in October.
Ghost Ryder Thanks this. -
Okay...
I think there was something else going on.
I was new and put a 2012 prostar up against a power pole at my house. Only thing that happened is I didn't get my safety bonus that quarter. -
Step one: remove foil hat
Step two: calm down
Dude, why would anyone quit after an accident? I stayed with Roehl because I wanted at LEAST one full year at the same company. I'm now moving on to a local job and they're paying my way home. It pays to have a good relationship with your dispatcher.passion4polishing Thanks this. -
Yeah my DAC is clear. My new job already checked everything.
I know Roehl wants to keep me because when I come out of the house I RUN. I'm always on time and hardly ever complain. My dispatcher offered me a few different dedicated things but I just wanted to be home more. They can't beat 3 days off a week while paid salary.
So they're paying my way home since I did a few favors for my dispatcher before I left. I'm currently picking up my last load for relay.
I get my bus tomorrow morning and will be home Sunday morning.
I ain't saying everyone is like this, not all companies would pay your way home.
Not everyone will have the same experience as me.
I can truly say I've enjoyed my time with Roehl and will come back if I decide to go back OTR in the future which I do plan on.
I've been screwed over once by them but they fixed it quickly.
I don't have much to say about them that's negative, the positives far outweigh the negatives, that's for suretechnoroom Thanks this. -
Yeah got it, it's clean. Although they may wait till after I quit to put it on there. Not sure. It as a year ago when it happened so I ain't worried about it
-
You netted 25 1/2. Seems to agree with what I've been saying.
-
That was from October. My net was more like 29k. Didn't know we were talking about net. If I would have stayed away from home more the. Yeah I coulda went passed 30k net
-
It was a year ago, on my property.
I ain't worried about it bro. If I go back OTR in the future it won't be as a company driver.123456 Thanks this. -
That might be where we are getting confused then. When someone tells me they make xxx a year, I presume they are talking about net.
