Bragging? I had posted it was getting great mileage and for the first few months it was great, not so much anymore. Tho I can't say anything bad about Freightliner or my local rep they are really trying to solve the problems. If they do great if not I will move on.

Wider framed FLD? My '96 had a 33 1/2' wide frame... I believe the newer FL's now have the industry standard 34' wide frames. I bought a slider 5th wheel for my FLD that I removed from a Century... I had to shim the outside mounting flange to make it fit my '96.

Perhaps you meant a wider axle? They are available in at least two widths with the narrow ones being slightly lighter and those are found on many trucks spec'd for a light tare weight.

Of course you can always adjust the steering stops to make it turn tighter.

I can't believe you passed up the Lonestar for a Cascadia that looks like something Hyundai would make if they made rigs.

Didnt really pass up the Lonestar it sold before I got the deal done... Tho a broker with our company has one and has had a ton of issues with it also..

    My issues...

My Cascadia has regen issues, it suffers from bad drivability issues when doing a regen, its hard to drive in traffic if its doing a regen, doesnt want to run below 1400. They have replaced, turbo, turbo actuator, throttle control valve, complete engine wiring harness, monday it gets a new ecm.

The truck was the tow vehicle when it came up from Cleveland and im not sure who drove it but the sub was blown when I got it and the clutch pulses like crazy when engaging. They supposidly replaced it in December but it never changed anything, I asked if they resurfaced the flywheel and was told it didnt need it, they told the rep they did it??

The drivers door hasnt fit properly since new, noisy and drafty, been adjusted several times, its going back to the body shop when vacation hits.

Paint on the frame is coming off in sheets, off to the body shop on vacation

the cruise and engine brake dont work all the time, they have that sourced to the clutch switch, its on order, hopefully monday,

it is limited at 105km hr, sometimes that becomes 95, sometimes it will go 110, sometimes it goes like no limiter had 135 today before i pulled my foot out. they are goping this is the computer also.

I had high hoped for this truck, it is or was smooth and got amazing fuel mileage when it was new but not so much anymore, hopefully this all can be fixed, tho too much more and it will definetly be going away....
