Enough points of reference are available to know the average global temperatures which is what's important. We know the temperature is rising and will continue to rise until it hits a new equilibrium. We don't need computer models for that. Computer models are only good for getting an idea of what kind of damage that change will cause.

Well, as mentioned earlier, in the 70s we were told that we would be in an ice age by the year 2000. That, and we would be completely out of fossil fuels by then as well.
Forgive me if I am not inclined to base my behavior on scientists with an agenda.

 

Could you link the studies that said we were headed for an ice age? Warming has been predicted since at lest the 50s and earlier.

 

Yeah right, warming has not been predicted since the 50's, it was always about global cooling, go look at the time archives in the 70's when the hype was really ramping up.

 

One of the videos I posted had a clip from a school film made in the 40s or 50s warning about global warming. The point is that CO2 causes a greenhouse effect causing warming. That's been the driving factor since the very beginning.
