This problem is because the ignition key starter interrupt is designed to let the abs and various sensors cycle and test after you turn key on to run but before you start. With push buttons to start it is not a problem. Turn key on and wait 10 seconds before start usually does the trick.

My W900 A had that problem. I changed the starter solenoid on it and no issue afterwards.

Sorry I've not been on in a while. Bingo, pin 30 to pin 87, that's exactly what I ended up doing. That's from the constant 12v to the output where the relay would send power when switched. That has almost entirely solved the problem. What it occasionally does know is, rather than require me to turn the key a whole bunch of times, if it doesn't turn over on the first try, it always starts on the second. So at that rate I was wondering if maybe I have a secondary issue and the solenoid is getting tired, but I'll see what I can do with those ESA settings first. We don't have ESA and I've not installed it in several years. Could you PM me some details on where to get it and how to get it running? Back when I had it, it was an old version that had to run on Windows XP or something. I had ESA, Calterm, and something else.
