I was wondering if I can simple replace the sensor or does it need to be calibrated?

Flash 34 could be 2 sensors, cam or crank position. You can simply change them, but that may not be your problem. Look closely at the wiring, especially behind the compressor. That code could be just a sensor, or wiring. In my experience, it's a wiring issue more often than sensors. Check the plugs for corrosion, give a 10lb pull test on the plug wires. I've seen the harness rub through on the compressor a few times. Those sensors are over $100 each, so it's a bit pricey to take a chance.
