Flat bed Equipment Advise

    What I do with my extra from the portables is to fold it up like the others said, but I use either a zip tie or gorilla tape to hold it to the tightened strap. I leave enough slack that if I need to tighten it a click or two, I can. Duct tape works as well but leaves a nasty sticky mess. Gorilla tape doesnt. Plus it is usefull for other things. Like keeping your edge guards in place ot just putting over a sharp edge.

    I've used duct tape before also, just didn't like how it look and the residue.

    You'd think, some one would make a portable winch with little more room to wind the strap, like our regular winches.

    I don't have a slick way for them either. I usually roll up the strap behind the winch and snake a bungee through and around the spools but I never remember to grab a bungee with the winch and they are right below. :rolleyes:

    Personally I am not a fan of tape, any kind. Once saw a driver using some big heavy duty spring clamps. Looked good, but when I checked on a price, my frugal side kicked in and walked away.
