I've looked around and FedEx or no other warehouse has openings. I was lucky to find a job with mcdonalds here. Im not making excuses id just rather get on with a company that trains and then going up for what I would really like to do. All a part of paying your dues and also getting a little experience first is never a bad thing

There is a reason we are all mentioning alternatives because it can be "worse" than that bad.Crusader66 and Dye Guardian Thank this.

I think it's pretty obvious he is not taking any of the good advice given here. Made up his mind, so more power to him and hope it turns out for the best

I did find one trucking company here local that does alot of local warehouses. I'll probably contact them and see if they know anything about getting on with one of them. I want to just get my foot in the door first. Is flatbed that bad for someone with little or no experience
-
Almost every one of them that come on here asking this same question have already made up their mind.Ruthless, snowman_w900, TROOPER to TRUCKER and 3 others Thank this.

Id rather not start with flatbed right out of the gate. I was looking for the advice about going from reefer to flatbed with minimal experience

Get yourself a couple more part time jobs save up that $2600 and start out flatbedding if that's what you want to do. If you're not willing to do that you will probably have a rough time making it trucking.
It's not hard it just takes a bit of ambition.Crusader66, cke, Dye Guardian and 5 others Thank this. -

Thats what Im saying theres too many people here looking for jobs that is next to impossible to get a second job hard enough to find the first one. Kllm is willing to train me and give me a much needed job that pays much better. So it's a matter of income and convenience

I started out with cr England because I couldn't afford the loss of income while I was in school. All they taught me was a bunch of bad habits that I had to unlearn. The 4 months in I had my accident and THEY fired me then claim I should have to pay for the school because THEY broke the contract not I.
Worst decision I ever made. Wish I had learned from others mistakes and done my homework. I would have gotten my license on my own.Raxus, johndeere4020 and Dye Guardian Thank this.
