Flatbed companies that take students

Hey, I asking for some advice. Got my Class A CDL license in April 2012 and started training with Arnold but my wife and I hated the home time from each other and our boys and left them. I started training at ctl in July 2012 for a few weeks but it was over an hour to get there and run over night back and forth from mulbery, fl to tampa. I went back to school. Fast forward to now October 2016. Just moved to atlanta, ga looking for work. My wife and I decided may I should used my cdl and have weekly pay. My brother -in-law went into trucking and is at swift. I want to see if flatbed is a good idea? Also, I was thinking a dedicated route would be better for my family and I because I can be home on the weekends. We need Saturday and Sunday off. I know I need to train again. Just trying to figure out the best situation. Can anyone help me please? Thank you

 

What part of Georgia?

TMC is a good start but get training and time and move on.

 

Right now I am in winder, ga. Just moved here 10 weeks ago from florida. We are planning on moving closer to atlanta either marietta area or newnan. So you said tmc is good? How long to stay?

 

Do they have weekly home time?

 

Golden rule is one year and you can make really good money after that. The being home weekends will help you at TMC also. You are in a great hiring area there. But not in Florida.

Your best bet isTMC since that is alll they do. For money I wasn't thinking but Maverick's glass division is where @w.h.o drives for now.

How long is training? When will you be home? After training, you start driving and have weekends home?
