Try tarping a load like a present during a 50 mph sustained wind and Nor'easter. You are on your own.

Do not approach the flatbedder who just finished this work. Put down your coffee and steak and back away lol.

I'll have to take your word for it. Besides, I cook good food just fine where I am at. Probably would not like me hunting in Central Park either.

    spyder7723 and bzinger Thank this.

Flat bedding is fun imo. It ain't that hard or as hard as people make it out to be. Especially if you come from construction. After framing houses for 22 years tarping and chaining a couple hours a day is a breeze. I mean it's laughable compared to really working your body 11 hours a day in all weather. I moved to trucking when my body couldn't handle actual hard work anymore. Now if you come from McDonalds or the Verizon wireless store I could see how flatbed could bust your ###. Don't think just because you flatbed you won't get fat either. I don't care what kind of trucking job it is if you have a propensity to gain weight you can't eat more than about 1500 calories a day. I #### stay hungry to maintain 180#s. I had a bowl of plain cheerios tonight. Actually I had a turkey sandwich for breakfast, half a watermelon, pepperoni and cheese for lunch and cheerios for dinner. I'm starving right now lol.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Talk to me after you've taken 14 wide plate to a manhattan jobsite at 7 am on a Monday. I don't go into the city often, but when i do, i do it right!

I can get that down here. The best thing about snow birds...all the restaurants owned by northern transplants. I can get nyc pizza and chicago pizza within 2 blocks of each other.

Ok screw that. I moved enough shingles in my teenage and early 20s days. That's real work right there and i want no part of it. I pull a flat so people THINK i work for a living, but i certainly don't wanna actually work for a living. See i like the illusion of work.
