Thanks, McElroy said they don't have ANY women drivers. Sounded like a great company to work for as long as you're male. :biggrin_25512:

Hey guys, I just had a Driver Recruiter trying to recruiter me from Maverick by my email and only left a little information. I'm just wondering what kind of money will you make in the flatbed division on a weekly basis? In addition to how many miles will you put in a week and where do you go for training?

I have known plenty of female's that could do all the lifting required for the physical tests so I have to say its not a female / male thing- its a lifting required thing.

I agree that its lame they make you do it to be " qualified " when most drivers never have to to get the job done.

At least Little Rock isn't so far. And if Maverick doesn't work out, there are dozens of companies accepting recent trucking school graduates...

You'll train for like 7wks getting appr 500 a week, then when u go solo, you start out at 33 cpm. I am guessing they do all their training in Little Rock, AR. But I'm not sure. I just happened to live close to there, and thats where I'm going for orientation (if they invite me.)

Flatbed is ladies' work. All these chubby, bald-headed guys with goatees and sleeveless tees are just overgrown babies.

The female flatbed drivers I see are smiling. Must be a good thing.
