and a lovely greyhound ride home

Greyhound took my 8.5 hour ride of shame home and turned it into a 19 hour extravaganza (including four hours broken down on the side of the interstate and seven hours sitting on the floor of the Chicago terminal because there were no seats to be had).Last edited: Oct 2, 2012

And Monday was my birthday to boot. Just a rotten day all around.
Starting orientation with a new company on Monday though. Happy thoughts. -
Heck, I'm all of 5'5", 200 pounds. This old decrepit fat broad ain't even climbing the side of my trailer.

Well, at least have a Happy Belated Birthday and Congratulations on the new job!
Who you going with? -
Wish you better luck with your new adventure

I'm 6'7" and 325 and I don't lift 120 pounds over my head and I don't lift myself on to the deck of a trailer. My company doesn't tarp all that many loads but we get more than 10 bucks.

Well, it's been a while since I did my orientation at Melton, but one thing I know is we did NOT have to lift ourselves onto the trailer on the side. We had to use a ladder that was attached to the front. And they'd rather us use the bumper or the APU/catwalk to get onto the trailer while at shipper/receivers. I cant remember the weights on the tarps we had to lift, but there were 3. The first, I believe it was around 35 pounds, we had to lift up over head. Middle was to the shoulder, I believe it was around 60. Heaviest tarp was only lifted to waist height. I think that was the 120 one.
