Exactly. All Fedex Freight drivers were required to get a tanker endorsement if they didn't have it last year just because of totes.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
you are defying fmcsa.... when you get caught and your OOS at the weight station with a nice ticket just how will you feel then, will your ""safety guy"" pay the ticked...? and now you have a OOS on your record.
again I don't care if you want to follow the rules or not, I told you about the rule change and posted proof from the fmcsa website to back it up, the rest is up to you -
brsims
this rule change was 2 years ago....well not really a rule change it was a change in the definition of what is a tanker.
less than 30 days after the change I was to pull a load of totes, I called safety and told them I couldn't and why. they didn't believe me, about 15min later they called back and said I was right, they had to check with fmcsa because they didn't know about it -
I'm not giving up the only reliable freight off the East Coast. -
not an endorsement but you will also want TWIC with flatbed.
ok back to the tank discussion. LOL -
If you are running flatbed it's better to not get the endorsements. All those will do will let you work for better companies and haul better freight, and the rest of us don't need the competition.
Oh, and no, you don't need a tanker endorsement for 275 gallon totes of liquid. Unless, you know, you ever get inspected, then you do.Tonitos Thanks this.
