You might need a mouth piece to. We had a driver that wasn't paying attention and the pipe slipped and knocked some of his teeth out.

You just gotta stay out of the arc that it will take if if does slip. I've never had one slip but it does try its damnest to get away from me. I heard of one guy while I was in orientation at arrow that his kicked back and caught him under the jaw. Took it clean off. Sounds like a wild tale but it made me pay attention.

Ok, got the new headache rack installed after a few issues. #### truck had the air tanks in the way so we couldn't butt it up against the cab, but I think it will work, just have to make sure the trailer clears it before i go putting a big DING in the shinny box....... the step box fit perfectly (24" wide) and it give me lots of extra space. I got all the boxes installed for $2,500 out the door at Tarpstop :)

####, those are purdy! Does anyone know if they make some sort of clear coat spay to keep them looking nice in the winter? Something kind of like the "dura-shine" coating alcoa puts on wheels? That would be sweet.

I currently procure all the flatbed equipment for a large flatbed company....300 plus trucks.
From what I have gathered so far if i had the choice on my own setup
    I would run 12 grade 70 not 40 3/8" chain
    16 4" straps
1/2 ratchet binders 1/2 snap. I personally like snap binders but you have to be safe and have experience using them.
Ratchet binders are great for coils, vehicles machinery.
I would get 2 75' straps for hauling hay if your doing that.
4 2" ratchet straps for cross ties front and rear for pallitized cargo
1 or 2 4" ratchets. dependends on the deck hight of the trailer they work great if you have to put a strap directly over a tire and a portable which won't clear.
    a couple portable winches

Harp tarps makes some great tarps.
I would run a hybrid tarp...18 oz on top 14 oz for the sides...saves weight.

If you buy american chains and binders expect to pay out the butt for them.
I have have been using 5/16" chain and have had to recycle a couple tons of chain for stretched links, bent links. It doesn't take to much force to stretch a 5/16" chain with a ratchet binder.

Lots of padding. U can use old straps , cut the hooks off and use strips to pad sharp edges.
carpet remants work great, rubber mats for paper coils work great for padding.
edge protectors for your straps, corners for drywall
chain corners for stuff you can't damage when you use chains.

Feel free to Pm me if you need anyhelp procuring stuff, i can't sell you anything but i can point you in the right direction.

That did sound like a good price. You got me all jealous now. I forgot for a moment that I still need to buy a truck before I can get my own shiny stuff to put on it.
