Wideglide I had my physical yesterday and they don't even mention anything about sleep apnea. They do give you a nice work out on the stress test. Bend over touch your toe 10 times, kneel down on both knees one at a time and get back up, balance on one foot for 30 sec, walk up and down stairs for 5 mins, lift a heavy box on to two different platforms 5 times and then carry the box around the room 5 times.

Other than the physical it was mostly filling out a lot of application paperwork and a drug and alcohol video for day 1.

There were some guys with high blood pressure that disqualified them from doing the stress test. They received a 30 day card from the Doctor.

According to the recruiter I was going to be in a truck with a trainer on Thursday but tomorrow we have a log class, more videos and hair follicle drug test. I'm going home Friday and coming back Sunday afternoon. Next week is load securement training out in the yard.

This is my first trucking company but the orientation seem pretty similar to what I have read from others posting there orientation experiences with other companies. Lots of videos about what to do and not do. Physical/drug test and a whole bunch of paperwork. I have 6 weeks of training before my evaluation and road test and then they will assign me a truck. If you have enough experience you will only have 1 - 2 weeks of training before eval. and road test.

The physical and urinalysis are on day one of orientation. On day 3 or 4 they do a hair drug test. The instructor said the hair test is expensive so they wait till after your application and background test have cleared. Our orientation class started out with 13 people and now we are down to 7.

They don't check you out before you get there ? Sounded like that when i talked to them i had a bad connection and did not call back yet . Why did so many fail ? I guess the ua tells if you are clean right then but the hair goes back in time and no way to cheat that one .
