With this company they charge you for almost everything. Physical/drug test, all of your equipment( hard hat, safety vest, straps, chains, corner protecters, tarps, etc. There's also an administration fee. Here's the catch they deduct these fees and charges from your paycheck in small increments and if you stay with the company for 6 months you get it all back with interest. You will pay for all of your meals at orientation and training. If you want to go home on the weekends during training it's on your dime. On a different note if your application is denied or you don't pass the background test they will give you a ride to the bus station and buy your ticket home.

No one failed the drug test. It was other reasons that they were sent home. Some of them went home by there own choice.

Is that every one or just if your in the training program ? They say on web page about pay your own meals and pay $100 day for orientation . I wont go if they want me to pay for all that stuff .

I have talked to some of the drivers and they seem happy at Cypress. The orientation and training may be rough compared to other companies but in the long run I think it's going to be worth it. I have heard that most flatbed companies will slow down in the winter. Not this company they will keep you busy all year long. They will ask you if you want to work every time the weekend rolls around, all you have to say is yes or no they won't make you work. If you want to work 3 - 4 weeks and then take 4 days off you can. I think most drivers are happy here because they get weekends off, good pay and plenty of loads to stay busy year round.

Everyone has to pay the fees from there paycheck. You have to sign a paper saying you agree to the fees and deductions. So if you are going to come here, plan on sticking with this company for 6 months. As for me I'm straight out of driving school so this was the best option for me. You have to weight the good and the bad. It may not be your cup of tea but for me it's a great opportunity for my new career.

That is one reason i am looking there i will do long haul stay out 4+ weeks or the option to be home on some week ends is there . Not if they charge a fee . I will have to call something tells me that is for the training program

This company offers other opportunities such as dump trucks (class A) and Sun Belt ( a local company that they own).

Don't make sense to charge you they offer a $2000 sigh on bonus and pay $250 after 30 days and $250 more after 90 days at 6 months give you $500 and after year get rest . Not a problem i would plan on staying 2 or so years Ya Sunbelt runs the road thy have terminal in TN .
