Last 2 shingle loads i had was paying 2.30 a mile and 2.40 a mile on 1200 miles. was back to back loads for me. Cali up to washington and back to cali. Same load same broker is now 1.65 on the loadboard this week i almost threw up in my mouth. Im really hoping this stuff just blows over but i know they are talking about its going to extend thru april atleast. It just sucks because i was geared up and ready to make some money this summer

I feel your pain. We really thought spring would bring some relief with better rates. This is what I get for thinking.
FerrissWheel and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Drying up quick. Just about ready to head to the barn for the forseeable future. I’ll let you know for sure on Friday.

Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin were looking good, but, yes, freight does seem to be drying up.....seems the mills are fulfilling the back orders before shutting down....

Theres still decent volume but hardly any profit in southeast spot market. What loads are decent are coveted right now. Only upside is cheap fuel but thats a double edge sword.. Cheap fuel suppresses rates.
Tons of florida to florida loads.. Tons of into florida, but nothing to get out of florida last week. Had to go beg in GA. -
I sat in atlanta all day yesterda . Couldnt find a decent paying load at all. Found one going home to Nashville gonna go home afterwards sit for a week or 2. I'll keep an eye on the market. Right now it's just not worth it
FoolsErrand, Tug Toy and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
