Sadly I've actually met a guy that could not read a tape measure. Thankfully he was not a flatbeder.

I've yet to figure out how to post pictures but I'll try to get some tonight and give it another try.

My present load. As you can see by the front axle in the air, I'm loaded like a freight train, again. A freight train at Disneyland. 14,300 pounds.

Ladder is secured with a hitch pin.
And moveable into different stake pockets.
This ladder is my second version. The first was shorter and wouldn't work on the upper deck.

I pulled a 48 flat spread w/ a W9 and I also have full fiberglass fenders on my drives.

I had the trailer main frame beam hit the fender when I had to cut it hard w/ a load on (backing into a spot at Flying J in TN because trucks were parked along side the curves making various empty parking spaces very hard to get to). I won't park illegal, even in truck stops. I pay attention to the fenders during turns at dips (steep drive ways, job sites, etc...) and I don't use winches forward of my light bar. I use either Porta-winches (goes into stake pockets), ratchet straps or chains forward of my light bar /over the fenders.

I just bought a 53' Benson Low Step and I've relocated (2) out of (4) winches from the upper deck to the lower deck because of the same issues.
