Wow! $5800 a month truck payment. Back in the 80's and 90's we though a $2000 -$2500 monthly payment on a new truck was high.Times have sure changed.

From time to time i see truck prices on kijiji 350k $. Who pays that much for a sleeper truck??? When i see 5800$ per month payment i want to scream are you out of your mind people ??? If you pay 6 grand per month for a truck you dont need our advice on this forum buddy. You need help of financial advisor or psychiatrist.

I'm not sure who you are signed on with with, but shop around and look at other companies that pay by percentage.
For example I'm with Big Freight, which pays 82%. I have been average to the truck (before fuel, etc) 3-3.50/mile (5-9K take home after all expenses minus my 1600/month truck payment, per week), and since I drive a hood truck, my fuel cost is roughly 0.879/mile.The fuel discount has my fuel generally around $0.90-1.10 Can /L.c.w Thanks this. -
I don’t run for less than (Canadian $) $4/running mile or $2.5/running Km, can’t make any money for less than that. Minimum, more is better. Costs are just too high, just spinning wheels and never getting ahead otherwise.
