Claymont, DE? What struggle this week was. We had about 15 trucks on the East Coast this week. He unloaded on Wed, and we couldn't get him anything until Thurs morning. Another truck unloaded near Scranton, PA and had to dead head back to Cleveland to get a load. Those were the only 2 that had to wait very long. We were able to keep the others moving. I have a new backhaul dispatcher that is picking things up quickly, and doing a really good job. She is working hard to develop relationships with the drivers, and never forgets to hit the brokers up for more money. Also, she is able to handle my bad attitude without getting upset.

Thanks for the compliments on the truck. If you think that one looks good, you should see one of our Petes.

I don't think I will ever get over someone telling me about seeing one of my trucks on the road. Always makes me proud of what my family has accomplished.

Despite a few struggles it was a great week. I was just telling (boring) my wife that I am really happy with the last 3 guys we have brought on in the last month. All seem to have good common sense, an Iowa work ethic, and a good attitude. Hopefully, we can keep them progressing, as they are all younger guys and could be the foundation of my next generation of good ole boys.

I could probably hire an ind cont out there. Don't think it would work for a company truck.

My fleet manager told me the same thing. It seems most or all of the steel mills were down because of veterans day. I am glad someone got to take it off...lol
