Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Our safety director was there. I was out of the office last week so I have been playing catch up. I am glad to see NICC offering that type of program.

Do you hire north of Detroit? I know a guy looking to make a move, lots of flat/step exp. If that area works and you're looking for someone let me know and I'll shoot you his cell number.

Not for a company position.

Fair enough, told the guy I'd check it out for him. Hope things are going well for you guys.

For Independent Contractors how would a guy living in Richmond, VA work out?? and what would the home time look like?? Baltimore ports are about an 130 mile trip from where i'm located

Recently, we have done very little along the East Coast south of I68-I70. Do you have a TWIC card and machinery hauling experience?

with a jeep your pretty well stuck to very heavy loads 100000 lbs and up. a 14-1 stinger makes you versital up to 100000 lbs. i can drag about 97000 lbs [almost] everywhere. with out getting police escorts and very costly permits that take up to 2 weeks to get. the way im setup i can mount my spreader bar on my neck and run as a quad if i so desire. but most of the time i run as a 3+1. takes me about 15 minutes to hook up my stinger. sorry it took so long to reply just seen your post.

Things are very busy at Pape in 2012. Company drivers are getting all the miles they like while being home 2 days every weekend. We just announced pay raises for current drivers, taking our top pay rate to .46/mi. In addition, over size pay can add .05-.10/mi to your pay rate. Wouldn't you like to be heading down the road with a farm tractor behind you making .50+/mi? With some new trucks arriving in June, we are looking to add a few company drivers. In addition to our normal OTR and regional opportunities, we have a dedicated open deck position available. The run is from Eastern Iowa to NW Iowa and returning each day.
We are looking forward to my younger brother Jordan joining the company in a month. His first month will be running OTR to see what life is like for our drivers. We even made hime get his TWIC to fully appreciate the joys of unloading and reloading at the Port of Baltimore. Then he will be in the office keeping the wheels turning.
