Wish Melton did home on weekends. I would run to their orientation flat footed to get on with them but 14/2 my wife would never leave my phone untouched.

    spooky-tooth Thanks this.

I'm still researching, but think I may go with Tanker; Schneider or Superior Carrier; seems like they both take new grads. Getting my Haz Mat, Tanker, TWIC and Passport card now. Willing to pay the "dues" starting a new career, if all goes well I would like to get my own truck (from dealer) and lease on with a good company. Right now I have my eye on Quality or Miller, any information would be great!

Training is done at the Masury terminal. I was just assured that this week by a recruiter.

If you haven't already enrolled into school, check with all of the companies that you wish to start out working for. Schneider will more than likely accept, but it's good to check first. If you're looking into Superior Carriers (which I highly recommend - not from any experience or anything), I'd ask them if you fall within their "hiring area," and if they'd accept the school you went to. The school part would be the trickiest. I recommend viewing the thread started by rubberducky68 titled something along the lines of: starting with Superior Carriers. It's only back a year and is currently undergoing still, I believe.

    Best of luck to you!

Just went back and read what he posted. I have heard drivers are making good money in the fracking boom. If I lived in those areas I would check into it for 6k a week.
