That would be the kicker, in terms of pay.
If you’re paying 60k/yr, with that work schedule and offering insurance, I think that would be fair. Put it this way - I could easily make more elsewhere, however, personally, the benefits of that schedule would outweigh the pay cut.
If you’re a decent person, and not trying to scalp your driver, then at that salary, and with those benefits, I think it is a competitive wage.
I don’t know what your driver is complaining about specifically, but there are still a lot of specific things that no one replying to this thread could know about.
If you’re a decent person, and trying to work with the driver....that’s something you’ll have to sort out off-line.Jasonar15 Thanks this. -

I just left a similar job making about $55k per year with no benefits, usually home Friday night-Sunday night. I left (1) because the pay was very inconsistent. Would be pretty high at times, and at others would be quite low. (2) The owner was starting another business, his attention was diverted from trucking and my loads (and therefore pay) were getting too low to make ends meet.
