How much you grossing per week?
-
For me personally.... I know my worth and how hard I work. I wouldn’t care if I’m paid percentage, mileage, hourly, salary, or what. If my pay is not equal or greater than what I think it should be, I would move on.
Granted I’m an OO now and run my own stuff but 25% of gross and paying 25% of the fuel sounds pretty bad on a 1099. I would say closer to 30%, W2, and not paying anything for fuel would be closer to realistic.Intothesunset and Lepton1 Thank this. -

Unless this is a third chance, get out. lots of flatbed companies in the southeast you could be at.Lepton1 and Intothesunset Thank this. -
Im 1099 on 25% of LH but im also dispatching myself and moving a half load of my own property across the country once a week so it works for me. I have never heard of driver paying fuel even at the bottom, and i started with a guy thats headed to prison for embezzlement so thats saying a lot about your employer.
You need to save every receipt and deduct it on 1040 schedule C. Gonna owe about $30 per every hundred you make otherwise.Intothesunset and Fryedaddy Thank this. -
