    What taxes?

Hey friend, I am curious...do you have a copy of the operating contract that you signed? Just bolt out any personal names and info.

BTW, no offense but it was straight up foolish of you to sign something that you didn’t agree to. I understand needing money, needing work and bills coming in, but that’s still not an excuse.

That’s after the deduction. I’m around 2200-3k miles per week

I will get a copy of it when I get home in a day or two. I wasn’t told anything about a fuel charge until after my employment began; the owner said they forgot about it. I’ve looked over the contract numerous times and I’ve yet to find anything pertaining to fuel.

There should be a page that talks about in detail your percentage pay and how that percentage is figured out. There will then too be a page where it lists things you are responsible for. 25% of the gross line haul is completely different than 25% of the adjusted (net) linehaul. If the fuel thing isn’t listed, and they withheld for fuel, they robbed you.

Hand, I know it may seem as if everyone who responded to your thread is armchair quarterbacking, but we’re not. Some of us have been through ugly situations where we had to stand our ground or even leave jobs because of disagreements.
As soon as they’d mentioned that fuel thing to me, I would have stopped. The only way I’d pay for fuel for a company truck is if I’m on my way to the house to clean the truck out.

Intothesunset, 88 Alpha and Fryedaddy Thank this.
