I cut my teeth back in 1987 pulling a 40 ft flat with a walking beam spread and a truck with no power steering. Luckily my dad had taught me how to drive, chain and tarp so I had a advantage. Still feel that because I started out with a spread axle flatbed it set me up to pull pretty much any type trailer I have ever pulled. If you can master the hard things early on, then you are pretty much set for your career IMHO
