Blanco,i think you allready know that the trailer will never be the same again.
I see that the impact did even worse damage to the guy that rear ended your trailer.(his 5th wheel is on your trailer, together with the kingpinplate)
If your trailer isn't warped,it would amase me.
If they do decide to fix it...........tell them only if Utility does the work.
That's my 2 cents.![]()
Flatbed rear-ended, can this be fixed properly?

Insurance adjusters are a strange bunch , had a T600 AREOCAB that was brought home on 3 trailers they FIXED IT , had a T400 that was lightly rearened when was stopped ( Bobtail ) on wet road. It was pushed into the back of a dumptruck , was driveable , needed a hood / grille yet they WROTE it off.
blanco Thanks this. -
Alot depends on the age of the unit damaged..
Weather they fix it or total it. -
I would say it could be fixed, and be as good as new, however I really think the value vs. replacement cost will not allow that. I know that I JUST had both of the axles on ALL six of my 05 Chapperal trailers replaced and the cost was OVER 12,000 PER TRAILER.

Those trailers were over 40,000 a piece back in 05, so If I could find someone to build them I'm sure they would be over 50,000 so to me 12,000 per was a good decisions, not to mention we had just purchased all new trucks last year and I didn't want to over extend myself.
Just a numbers decision really. -
That makes sense to me.

That wouldn't have been a Big G truck that hit it, would it?? I seem to remember reading recently about a driver for then running into a flatbed at full speed. Read about it right here actually.
