What would you use a flatbed STRAIGHT truck for? (Other than cars) is it hard to secure loads? And is it all year?

I have hauled coils, bars, sheets, plates, equipment, manufactured steel parts, bags stuffed with rubber scraps, lumber, drums, machines, and oversized loads.

In most cases I would think no. You make your deal coming in the door.
You need to know what you are getting into and how much you need to cover your expenses and turn a profit.
