Not unless It pays enough to hand hump it.
I did sell mine:
I used it for multiple partial shipments; artwork; shipments that were ltl sized but paid ftl rates; get in where you fit in. -
Truck was a little different than I imagined.
It tarp that slide across from on end to the other, on both sides...
Was it customized? Apparently had railings as wellcke Thanks this. -
My company runs 2 24ft Flatbeds and a 17ft. Have another 24ft on order now just waiting for it to get here.
We use them for local LTL work and the occasional expedite load that is small enough.
When we do send a driver OTR with one they get hotel rooms every night. Saves weight and length of carrying a sleeper around.
With a 20k steer and a tandem we can scale close to 34K on the deck. Usually run out of room before we max the weight though.
It's all customer load and unload stuff. All forklift and crane just like a standard flatbed.SAR, noluck, Mattflat362 and 4 others Thank this. -

Bottom line: if you don't have the work for it, it ain't worth buying.

That's generally used by distributors to ship their own product (insulation, Sheetrock, trim, other building materials) to retailers or direct to jobsites.
I debated converting my straight truck into a curtainside- and have considered building a new one since.....
That setup with a 30'x102"x108"body would cover most of the wood related stuff I do, but not the most common stuff I currently haul.Mattflat362, kylefitzy, DDlighttruck and 4 others Thank this. -
Well I did not get the job.... As usual. What's new.....
