I am leased to LS, so we get 73% of what the load is posted for on the internal load board. Outside carriers have a different load board they see and look at.

Long Beach, Wilmington, Port of LA, its all the same place.I said I still know more than one because I know those loads you speak of don't exist. Just one document. Just one. Heck a load of Standard Missiles making their return trip home pays $2.25 gross. That's a $1.65 . Value $3,000,000.00 super hot team load. Like I said just one document on container freight grossing over $4.00 from Landstar
-
And SHC you better get busy. In 6 days you owe $100.00. You took the bet and now you have got to pay
-
Yeah, good luck with that buddy. I don't waste my time with BS, and I don't know how I am expected to get a document for a load I can't haul, and I won't risk my lease to appease an ex-LS driver (as you say). I don't expect you to believe me, because obviously you couldn't even find the good paying freight when you worked here, why should now be any different??
-
They are not the same place at all. Wilmington is not considered the port, and if you read my post, most of them come out of San Bernadino, which is no where even near the coast.... and why would you pull a load of missles for $2.25 when you can just go to Rancho Dominguez and pick up crated machinery paying well over $2.75 gross??? You obviously must not have paid much attention when you were here, or only worked off the load boards (as most guys who leave did) because there is plenty of good paying freight in CA for a flatbed in the Los Angeles area.

Alright my son, I just talked to friend of mine that happened to call on the magical $4.00 loads that you speak of. This guy lives in Reading PA and thought they would be great loads to go home on. One catch that $4.00 rate includes the can be unloaded then reloaded and returned to LA . So your $4.00 just turned to $2.00 then to $1.50. So I have got to say you did see the load but since you don't know anything other than what you seen you lose the bet and you still owe me $200.00 And don't be bragging about that $2.75 freight either that's $2.02 in the real truck driving world. Just one document
-
Once again, your friend is wrong. It is $4 to NJ, no return load. And a few of the ones from Wilmington go to Garden City, GA as well, no port drop..... I know what i've seen and been offered. Your "friend" sure did come in just the right time to help you out didn't he...how convienent for you.
As for the $2.75 loads, just look up a 150 mile radius of Los Angeles for a 48FL or FLAT during the week. There are quite a few, but I also have 4 agents I can call that do not post loads on the boards. There are plenty members here that are also with LS that do the same. Best of luck to you where ever you went on to from LS, but I'm doing just fine here. -
You can't put those bogus rates on here like that. What happens next is you get a bunch of guys on here too excited and they are down at the dealership buying a truck they can't afford. Or they are back on the Landstar Forum asking how much money can they make at Landstar or is Landstar a good company. There was a time that Landstar was a great company and if you seen a nice looking truck going down the road it probably had a star on the side. Then the market slowed and when companies like Mercer cut their fleets back to keep better freight for their o/ops Landstar doubled their fleet size and decided to let their agents post loads on the broker board at the same time they post it on the Landstar board. As a result of this now when you see a piece of junk going down the road it probably has a star on the side and Landstar has a very high turnover rate. But they don't care because they can make payroll and give the investers a little bit just off the charges they hit the BCO's with every week. The point here was when they let the agents put the loads on the broker board like that a lot of them quit putting them on the Landstar board at all. That's when we left. Now we come out of LA for $3.00 to $4.00 a mile for agents like BCH who do this very thing every week. Landstar needs people like you so they can stay in business. But as for me I don't feel the need to give them $100,000.00 plus lust to have their name on my truck . And don't forget you owe me $100.00 I'll take cash
-
So before you say they don't have loads I listed, then you say they have the loads, but it's only roundtrip stuff, and now you admit they have them but go on with a rany about who they hire and how they only want to pocket money.... sounds like you are confused on who won your make-believe bet to me.
And who cares if guys go ot and buy brand new trucks, it's not my problem if they make bad choices or do whatever. i know how to run my business, how to make plenty of money doing it, and I'm happy. You couldn't make LS work, I'm sorry about that, but I manage just fine along with quite a few other drivers on here. Just because they don't put the good loads on the load-board anymore doesn't mean a thing, it just means you didn't know how to locate them anymore. I have no problems finding them. The last few loads I hauled I didn't call on, they called me. And that's how I prefer it to beAutocar, Big Stu, The Challenger and 1 other person Thank this. -
You have 5 days left my son. You took the bet. You lost. Now you have got to pay.
