I agree. Ive been researching reefer loads and even they dont list very many team loads. The way appoinments get set up Im not so sure they want trucks arriving early either so I have more work to do and its not something that will happen overnight so before I do anything Ill at least have a knowledge base to work from.

To run a team you'd have to have a dedicated shipper to keep them busy. No other way in my opinion.

If your contemplating running a team based on posted loads,.. I think you may be disappointed. Its too unpredictable.

You'd have to get a contract because you're pretty much out of the market for building materials and a lot of jobsite places.

Have a look at Waggoners trucking.
Also the plane engine niche like Southern Pride or Aviation Express.

    Good luck!

Only team runs I do with flatbed are the winter runs into Northern Canada allows them to get in get out and as we have a designated # of loads per winter season we can work as fast as we want to get them completed before the winter roads turn to mush

My company really try to push for teams but they don't last long. I've talked to a few former team drivers with this company and they said they would end up sitting on loads a lot and only Avg about 4 to 4500 miles per week at .45cpm.

This confirmed my suspicions with this company and I'm glad I never teamed for them. Afterall they have enough trouble keeping a solo running. We get all of our loads off the boards.

I think the only way teams would work with flats is dedicated freight or husband wife. Heck I was unloading one day and a driver had his wife and teenage daughter folding his tarps. It'd be nice to have that extra help.

When my wife comes out with me, she works her tail off. We have a pretty good system when it comes to strapping, chaining, tarping,.. you name it. We get in, knock out what we have to do and roll out.

She has no desire to ever drive,.. but she is a Godsend when it comes to helping me out.

My son came out with me for a month once,.. he was as useless as man boobs.

Man boobs are not useless. They come in handy when there's no good looking lot lizards around.
