Just about made up my mind on a 2015 East MMX 53' all aluminum flat trailer.
As spec'd 11,300 lbs. - 2 boxes / NO tire carrier / NO headboard
Does this seem heavy? If so, is it to the point of being restrictive ?

Big John Classic HQ Thanks this. -
That is a couple thousand heavier than my MAC with 2 boxes. With my 379 I can haul 50,000 lbs. truck and trailer comes in at 29920 lbs. with my Great Dane 48' combo I weigh 32800 lbs.
That East seems heavy for an all aluminum trailer. You want to be able to get 48000 lbs min and 50000 give you a few more options especially when doing Ltls.Last edited: May 14, 2014

Why do you want the mmx? I specc ed out a 53 alutrec capacity it came to 8600 lbs with independent sliders, a toolbox, a lift axle, and I think they're rated for 60k in 4.

Can't argue with you on the weight savings between the MMX and your trailer, that's a huge difference.
I was going with East for their reputation and quality of product. The Beast II or MMX are the two models I narrowed it down to. The Beast II can handle most anything that you would put on a flat with a rating of loads up to 50,000 lbs. concentrated in 4 feet on a 48-foot long trailer, and up to 60,000 lbs. I don't know what the MMX CAN'T handle being rated to handle loads up to 72,000 lbs. concentrated in 4 feet on a 48-foot long trailer, and up to 145,000 lbs.
With all that in mind the difference in weight between the two is less than 200 lbs. The difference in price I was quoted was exactly $2000. So, all things considered led me to settle on the MMX. The shock came in the weight of both. As long as the weight of the trailer won't hinder me, I think its definitely the way to go.
I am open to advice, hence why I started the thread. Someone on here may open my eyes to something better that may save me a ton of heartache down the road.
