Check on google maps for lumber and building supply distribution centers.(Home Depot, lowes ) Drive up with personal car to see which carriers they use than call and ask.

Hand, you are an experienced driver. Training companies are for rookies. What sort of flatbedding do you want to get into?

-Steel hauler. Mainly hauls steel plate and coils.
Stick and brick. Building supplies and lumber
    Crushed car hauler.
    Equipment and machinery.
Specialized. Hauls anything and everything, usually on a step deck

Are you wanting to run local, regional or OTR (western 11 or all 48 and Canada)?

Why the switch ? You must have a company in mind. The right LTL company you’ll make the big bucks, skateboarding, you have to start from the bottom, learning all your securements isn’t a walk in the park anymore.

They no longer have a terminal if they ever did in Fontana, CA.
Phoneix Arizona is the closest one. Drove for roehl recently for over a year and did plenty of runs out west and always had to bounce back to Phoneix for anything. They used to have a drop yard in Vegas but that got removed due to security issues.

To the OP, I would not reccomend Roehl as the previous poster did. Stay far away some make it but majority will suffer. They love using the line "We are going to relay this load to the yard another driver needs to get home" which then you talk to that driver they aren't even going home nor live in that area.

They typically mainly operate in the midwest to east coast region they occasionally have runs out west. You may luck out being in Califorinia but i wouldn't wish the experience of Roehl on my worst enemy.

Look into who does the lowes, home depot accounts in your area and that would be your best bet IMO.
