It's you isn't getting the point. Maybe your life or others isn't worth much, but mine is! If I don't feel its safe, I'll do it my way or get it off my wagon. Why you ask? Cause that shipper don't give a #### about whether or not you make it to the destination alive, only that their load gets there unharmed.

As for Jim, yourself and many others...... You can always find another job, you can't get another life, learn to use common sense!

Ladies and gentlement, you are talking circles around the issue. The old boys (Les & W9) are firmly asserting that they feel it is unsafe to secure coils with straps. This does not change no matter what your company or any shipper says. Just because Logan Aluminum says one must only use straps does not make this practice safe. They are likely trying to eliminate waste on coils arriving with damage from securement. They are not taking into consideration the damage that will be caused when that coil leaves the trailer. I will admit they are a little gruff in their opinions, but you could learn a lot by listening to them. Rule number one in flatbed--look at everything critically. Just saying something is safe does not make it so. You should absolutely refuse a load if it can't be safely hauled according to a shipper's rules.

Les--my trucks are all colors. You might be confusing my trucks with Tennant, which is only a slight insult. I only have one yellow truck...he delivers most Mondays in Baltimore. I will assume you saw him on I-70.

I may have not said that clearly...my trucks are all colors. It is quite likely that you saw the yellow truck traveling through Ohio. That driver usually runs out to Baltimore & back. I believe it is actually a 384. We have a few 384s and 386s...no 387s.

When I said you might be confusing me with Tennant, it was because you thought all my trucks were red.
