Ya seems everyone and their mom has a flatbed now days.

Its pretty sad when you look on truckstop load board and see freight with posted rates out of the same area that are getting more money for vans.

As a former Mercer contractor I definitely couldn't be leased to a company like them again and be tied to the in-house load board... Definitely need to be able to find freight on the outside as well, unless its a company with hell of dedicated contract freight.

I've thought about looking into tankers myself... Seems about the only segment of trucking the pajama wearing flip floppers haven't gotten into yet. Sounds pretty appealing on that thought alone!!!

I am on the fence until after the election and probably won’t go back otr until the Spring if I decide.

My clock is ticking for 1 year driving in past 3 years being I’ve been not working since June 2019 And don’t feel like having to go through retraining

My only other alternative would be to go to work running as company driver for Indian River down here in Florida for a year or so just to get back in the game and recharge my Work Ethic

95%drop and hook and coast to coast . I did mostly Midwest hauling milk never really been west of the Mississippi or the East coast.

I don’t know why but The thought of bumping docks at large facilities doesn’t turn me on a bit.

Are you moving back to Michigan? Thought I read a post of yours saying that...

I'd look into the Marijuana trade up that way... Seriously... Heard thats where the money is at in Michigan:biggrin_255:... legally growing it/distributors... Heck with this truck driving crap!!!

No I really don’t want to give another dime to that CommunistState Just going up there for 3 months to spend some time boating for the next couple weeks than work on my 97 International up at my ex mother-in-law’s while I oversee getting a new roof put on her house.

I have not really touched my truck since I bought it 2 years ago.

Going to stick to low cost parts - laborious work on the truck for now.

Mostly looking forward to gutting out the old sleeper except the walls and ceiling and rebuilding it out to a better floor plan.

Woodwork is kinda my enjoyment and I have a bunch of nice 8 and 10 ply birch I need to use.

Going to make it functional but keep it Lightweight .

I have to grab my powerboat and drag it back to Florida in the fall and figure out what I want to do with my Nissan and my Goldwing sitting up there.

I should sell it all but for how nice it all is it’s not really a whole lot of money.

Too much Krap for being homeless lol

I Dread going back to Michigan but it’s where most of my stuff is and I got free storage in my ex mother-in-law pole barn .

Florida is my home after being down here 35 years, just gotta figure out where in Florida.

Definitely no further South than St Pete

Yea I have a buddy that is growing up there. Not my thing. I was in the trade 25 years ago when it was not quite so legal.
