Believe the OOIDA endorsement or not , If you get Landline magazine go to the back and look it up yourself. I will repeat that you have to align yourself with GOOD agents here if you are running off of ANYBODY:S LOADBOARD then thats just sad and you like hauling cheap freight. You dont have to have plate money up front if you dont want but you wont be able to take them with ya either if you ever let any company pay for them, rookie mistake. I do good and no I wont post any numbers or contracts i'm on as I dont like others taking my bread and butter from me. I'm a big boy and like to eat :biggrin_255: The Fife, WA office is one of the best agebts to work for if ya like making money.
I will say that everything I haul is over 2.00 per mile.

There's a big difference between an endorsement and an advertisement in a magazine.

No problem Bill as It seems like you are a very stand up guy on TTR. The link I gave is to Transport Investments which is the parent company of American Transport Inc, Greentree Transportation Company, Marathon Transport, Aetna Freight Lines and TII logistics which all have links on that page.. http://www.transportinvestments.com/ati.php

OK, I'm must be a little slow. Can't find anything on any of these pages that says anything about OOIDA "endorsing" this company.

When I started not that long ago, I made more money running 100% off of load boards than I have seen anyone on this board posting what they make working for a larger percentage carrier. That is not intended as a boast just that this idea that you can't get good rates off load boards is bogus.

In fact, I make more than LS drivers pulling the same load and I'm not stuck with just what is available from LS. In fact, my last load to SD paid me better than $1/mile more than the LS driver that loaded with me. He had a reload that he had to DH over 200 miles for just to take a cheap rate. I got on the phones, found a farmer shipping hay to TX. LS hay loads paid the BOC $2.26 at the best.

I have found this to be the same with all the larger agent based carriers.

But if you don't have the capital or just don't want to deal with the headaches then LS and some of the others are good companies for flat, step and rgn. But would never do anything for less than 85% with a van or reefer.

According to a driver that I interviewed, if you don't have plates, they will get them for you but you pay 100% up front and they own the plates.

So many O/O's don't get that you can get your own plates and take them with you if you decided to move.

Yes I do, glad you asked and no I dont get a bonus for new hires LOL. I just made 2.90 a mile for 1500 miles gross with 39000 lbs on board (10000 was a ltl) so I guess not as bad as Grizzly thinks I might be doing:biggrin_2559:

Well glad to see the thread still going. At least something is being discussed. HaHa. I sold the transcraft for $3800. The guy came up from Tennessee and seemed to think he can have it fixed. Good luck to him. I am running for BESL now(trailer rental is 5%) and I am glad they let me on board as I tried in the past and wasn't good enough. My uncles that are leased to them have done good over the years so maybe I will too. Someday down the road I would like to get my own authority but we will see. Thanks for the posts everyone and take care.

Bill when I find the ooida end again I will post a link to it. BTW on the loadboard I have seen some good freight rates, my personal choice is working with the agents as they always seem to come through for me without me having the headache of doing all the legwork. They also dont post all the loads they have on that board, its usually just the ones they dont have covered. Sounds like you are doing well the way you are doing it. And I apologize for the previous post I just made but I guess I got frazzled from Grizzly whom seems to hate ATI for some reason
