We met some folks that straightened that out FAST! We are extremely happy to get this lucky moment...I was so frustrated and couldn't figure out the details.... I think that knowing truck drivers...with the inside scoop....really HELPS..that agent mess was a tough thing and also wasted a ton of time..NOW that I know what to look FOR? I made some better moves...but really it came down ...from a experienced driver...god save! I got him out of northern Canada....For alot more than he came in with..Aslo, got a grip of detainment and fought my butt off! If it wasn't for you all here? I am now mentoring for a broker....get the in's and out's and stay focused and don't waste time with takers..I definately dont gert the verbage but I'm learning fast..make money and get him out fast

Yes! wow that took a minute he went on a convoy and that gave us advantage... if he doesn't get the LTL in....we have to get out..with a fair price NEW broker...amazing!

That's WHAT I'M SAYING who pays that amount...and thinks they are going to not only be LAZY...or TIRED and get out of that mess....plus, he has a slight ATTITUDE...NOT cool....at all...my husband is a charmer not lazy and do what it takes rain, sleet and ice roads...so this GUY...lazy eddie..I posted here because I thought he was OFF! WAY OFF.....

I'm still stuck on the fact that somebody would go out and get a truck so they have 4800 bucks in truck payment every month!!! 1200 a week!!!! WTF! Screw that! I could find a truck for 1200 bucks a MONTH! Sounds like somebody is going to get in over his head before summer even starts and blame it on everybody else!!!WTF are some people thinking!

Let me take a stab at this. The way I see it Timflatbed's husband is hauling heavy and/or oversize, grossing $15K+ up to Canada (less expenses for escort, etc.). Depending on total miles that is the only way it starts making sense on that score.

Regarding the original question: absolutely a flatbedder can gross $275K in a year. If that friend of a friend of a friend thinks it can be done without doing actual work or waiting for loads, then that's unreasonable.

My brother just leased on with a company servicing oil rigs out of OKC. First 8 loads in 8 days grossed $11K. Each load requires hard work and some of the destinations are challenging to get in and out of, what with mud, snow, etc. But yeah, I'd say he'll easily gross at least $275K for a full year's work.

Bottom line is work is involved and wait times are involved.

Lepton, you are dead on! Said truck driver ...other guy...has alot against him...thus he keeps going back to company side..when he doesnt get his way...hmmm I dont think hes reasonable and or wants to do what it takes...he was going off the board and wanted HARD NUMBERS! LOL NO
