    Without knowing the details a lot of news outlet's always use the 80,000 pond load line. Some idjit looks up tractor trailer weight and puts that number in the copy.

    The driver of the pickup was cited in the accident for going too fast.
    The news also stated the straps on the flatbed broke. I would imagine it had chains and not straps!
    The news people spin it anyway they want....:biggrin_25521:

    Exactly. Doesn't necessary apply in this case but how many chains/straps should you put on a load in anticipation of getting rear ended by 3 other vehicles? Like if the law requires 5 chains on an item do you go ahead and put on 40 chains in case you slam into a bridge?:biggrin_2554:
