Intentions for hauling are flatbed. Also a lowboy for machinery moving. These include excavators like the 314, 315D. Dozers like the 953D. Maybe a 963D, but that weighs around 45K lbs which would put me over 80K with everything included. The equipment mentioned meets the width limits. A chase vehicle is available for me when I am ready to embark on that endeavor. Say If I haul a 953D # 35K lbs with a 2 axle detachable lowboy. The truck weight should be around 19,500 lbs, + weight of the trailer being around 17,500 which would give me a total of 72,000 Lbs give or take.
There is also a dump trailer available in which I can haul, but how applicable is it to run a dump trailer with a sleeper?
I am glad I have a few options, but I'll be running only one truck, so I can't pull them all. I would have more flexibility with what can be hauled with the trailer options available.
Do you know the difference in weight between an Aerodyne single bunk sleeper, vs the Aerocab double bunk?
I need to better plan the drop deck purchase. Any advice you folks could give would be appreciated. What is the dock leveling system? Is it a set of pistons that raises the deck height? How much weight does it add to the trailer? I've heard some ports don't like drop decks. What brand would you folks recommend and what material?
Thanks,
Vampire
