After switching to P&D I wish I was just doing flatbed. As far as hard work goes:
Reefer is easiest.
Tanks are second easiest.
Flatbed.
Then ltl p&d.
Tarping in the wind is annoying but throwing chains and #### is way easier than pulling 3k lb pallets across highway traffic in 100 degree weather. Or liftgating 10 2k lb pallets of ice melt through the snow and ice.
I just hate getting covered in rust and flatbed goo. And the abysmal pay that flatbedding got me. RGN heavy equipment is where it is at though. Usually pays better and the stuff is made to be tied down.
I think there's a reason ltl pays so much. It's soul sucking work. I actually kind of enjoyed flatbedding pulling step decks or lowboys and equipment. #### pulling lumber and drywall and garbage like that though. Tarps can kiss my ###.86scotty, TurkeyCreekJackJohnson, W923 and 2 others Thank this. -
