For the most part, I agree. That's why I made my statement so outlandish, that anybody who knew it was about Blair would know it's got to be a joke, except for him I guess. But saying that the rules were made for other people isn't an honorable statement. I know some really nice people who say some really dumb things every now and then. Do you think they will grow as a person by having a bunch of "yes men" coddling them and telling them how great they are when they do or say something wrong? People will tear down immigrants like they're less than human, but Blair gets in the same way and gets a free pass because people feel like he's "one of us".
The cliques that form on this site are toxic. The jokes being made about securement aren't that funny.

Espressolane, Ruthless and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
On the securement issue, I think we went over it pretty thoroughly with diagrams and examples and others experience, and left it at that. Nobody asked the a-hole question of "Well, have you pulled this kind of trailer and freight before?" because everyone was being polite, I guess. I can't explain it any better to you that stretch trailers and fragile freight have issues that are resolved to the best of abilities from fabrication to installation, and the generic rules become guidelines.
Several more experienced drivers told me this when I started hauling different products.
The 'cliques' - are no more than the fact that many of us here know one another in person, talk often, visit in person or on the phone - you know, like friends do. We know a lot about each others personal situations and struggles, and experiences. Stop in one day when you're free and have coffee with me, I never did meet a stranger.OldeSkool, Sirscrapntruckalot, IH9300SBA and 8 others Thank this. -
And, if you'd walked that mile - you'd be a mile away from me, and have my shoes. There, now that last sentence is a joke.OldMainiac, OldeSkool, Sirscrapntruckalot and 10 others Thank this. -
I enjoy it but prefer to be back at the end of the day with the wife and pups. But aint nothing like seeing the sights!

@loudtom Not familiar with seeing posts by you. Most of the people who post here are acquainted at some level. May just be from here or perhaps they have met, so there tends to be some inside jokes and what not.
So to get to know you a bit, tell us about your experiences. What do you pull? Run a specific region or cargo? Most of us have posted pictures or other information on our work.ElmerFudpucker, blairandgretchen, cke and 1 other person Thank this.
