shotsjc Yeah I think Roehl is a decent company for sure. Wish you the best of luck to ya! I'm going through a local school and they came and talked to us! But I will say I considered them but have my decision made! Going to Boyd Brothers!

I just switch from van to flatbed 80 days ago and am absolutely in love with it. And I’m still farely new to driving. Going on 3 years. I started with dry van and noticed I got very bored really quickly with the dock bumping and door swinging, and I gained weight quickly. I’m not a huge junk food guy but no moving much we all know that story. But I wanted a more local job with more home time because my mom got sick and I need to be home more for her. I found my current company and debating on applying because of it being flatbed. But thought. Hey give it a go if I didn’t like it I could at least say I tried. And then I feel in love. The work is awesome. I get a great workout every time I load. And the pay is the best I’ve have ever made in my life. The tarting isn’t that difficult but I was also taught some good time saving tips on adding and removing and folding. I average 400 to 500 miles on a good day. Today I’ll only get 300 but it’s Do to the style of load I’m getting and the time I need to secure. But I get paid extra for it. And I’ve lost 20 lbs doing it so far. I would recommend other van drivers to at least give it a try. You never know. You may love it.

    Tankers Rule Flatbedders Drool.

Most likely from them getting hit in the noggin by a binder too many times.

I trained to go flatbed and was planning on getting my own truck and leasing on in a bit to do flatbed, but pulling a tanker has ruined me.
